Why don’t positive words, positive thought flood your mind? Whenever I think of my self, whenever I think of doing something, the negative words and emotions flood into my mind. The negativity then creates self-doubt. I have been living this way for many years… it has become who I am. Now that I am trying to start a business, all I see is fear. I need to break this habit and learn how to transform the negativity into a positive thought. This process is creating an affirmation. You need to realize the positive statement is TRUE.

Here are the steps to creating your affirmation:

  1. What are your goals and dreams
  2. Identify the negative thought that is holding you back
  3. Write down that thought on paper
  4. Tear up the paper, burn it, or scribble the words out
  5. Create Your affirmation/ Transform that negative thought
    1. Start statement with I am 
    2. Make the statement in the present tense
    3. Use strong emotional words that will resonate with you
    4. Make it an action
6. Voice your affirmation Daily, Hourly. You need to repeat it until you understand that the statement is true. It is true!

 

This is a great habit and daily ritual for you to instill. Positivity will start to flow. We need positive words and thoughts to guide us along on any journey that you may be on. For me, I will break down the barriers that hold me back from being the entrepreneur I see my self becoming.
